Fees

We believe that a search firm cannot charge fees to both clients and candidates for employment without inviting a conflict of interest. Under no circumstances are candidates ever charged fees. All fees for our services are the responsibility of our client-companies.

The Retained Search
Our fees are on a retainer basis and are calculated to be thirty percent of the total first year's cash compensation for the successful candidate, and compensation includes both base salary and incentive arrangements, including sign-on bonuses. Where a future incentive amount cannot be determined, we will accept a good-faith estimate by our client. For initial billing purposes an estimated total compensation figure is used, and at the end of the assignment, when the actual compensation is known, the fee is recalculated and any additional fee amount earned will be billed at that time.

Our fees are not contingent upon the placement of a final candidate, as they represent the value of our time and expertise. However, any search is cancelable at any time, and in that event, fees will be settled on a pro rata formula, based on the time of cancellation. Our fees are billed in four equal installments according to the following schedule:

We are also reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses such as travel and communications charges related to the assignment. Out-of-pocket expenses are billed separately and monthly.

It sometimes happens in the course of a search that candidates are surfaced and hired by the client for other positions within the organization. If that should happen, the client is obligated for a fee in the amount of twenty-five percent of the total first year's compensation of any such additional hires.

Recruiting Support
We provide consulting services on an hourly or daily basis, plus out-of-pocket expenses. Special fee arrangements for long-term assignments may be made.
